Green Cottages - Candy Cottage & Old Post Cottage

Candy Cottage and the Old Post Cottage are charming self-catering holiday cottages situated in the heart of the Kent village of Rodmersham Green, near Sittingbourne and Faversham, opposite the village pond, the village green and open countryside. They are 25m from the village shop/cafe and opposite the village pub the Fruiterers Arms.

Both these luxury 4* cottages have two bedrooms; Old Post Cottage has a double bedroom and bedroom with solid pine bunk beds suitable for 2 adults or 2 children. Candy Cottage has a double bedroom and a single bedroom. Old Post Cottage sleeps 4 and Candy Cottage sleeps 3. They are child friendly and pet friendly. They can be rented together to accommodate larger groups up to 7 guests.  Both cottages have been awarded Green Tourism (GTBS) Gold.

In addition Green Cottages Kitchen provides baking and cookery workshops fun and informative hands on sessions.  See our website for our current workshops.  Small groups up to max. 6 persons.  Workshops open to all aged 16 and over.

The cottages were built in 1860 as farm workers cottages, Old Post Cottage later became the old post office and village shop. Full of traditional features they are the perfect base for exploring Kent throughout the year. Fully equipped kitchens. We provide Wifi, TV/ DVD player, radio/CD player, selection of books, maps and games, a travel cot, stair gates and high chair. We also provide a clothes airer and washing line with pegs.  Fully enclosed rear garden with secure bicycle anchor points, table and chairs. Welcome pack includes tea, coffee, sugar and a pint of milk and bread and fresh flowers from our garden. 2 bicycles for hire at additional cost, local food/cheese and wine hampers can be ordered.

Pet Friendly: We have had cats and dogs stay and the odd bird too.  We have sleeping mats, bowls and stair gates to stop pets going in the bedrooms.  The cottages are located next to the village green; the village pub next door welcomes dogs in the bar and there are lots of great country walks on the door step.
