Faversham is one of a tiny handful of English towns which can boast a medieval version of the famous Magna Carta. The charter is one of the most celebrated documents of English history, revered the world over as one of the foundation documents of liberty and democracy. In our small exhibition you can view our 1300 Magna Carta, along with some artefacts, maps and royal charters, which have been preserved in Faversham for centuries. Our stewards are more than happy to answer questions and add more stories to make your visit an interesting one!
As part of the Kent Wheels of Time scheme we offer free activities for children aged 5-11. Children can earn a pin badge here and in many other locations in Kent.
