The Customs House was built in 1850 to collect duties for cargo arriving via the Thames estuary into Faversham. Now the house has been transformed into a stunning and elegant holiday home with ten bedrooms and five shower rooms over three floors.

Customs House is an imposing building on the banks of the creek just a few minutes walk from the main centre of town. The views over the creek are lovely and there are a number of circular walks to enjoy this area on foot. The house sits on Standard Quay which today is a thriving place to visit offering antique shops, cafes and garden centres and is a chance to see Faversham’s living history. It is also home to several classic ships and boats including barges such as the Cambria and Greta as well as traditional fishing boats classic tugs and overnight moorings of all sorts.

The house itself has been transformed into a stunning and elegant holiday home with ten bedrooms and five shower rooms over three floors. There are seven king size bedrooms, two twin rooms which can also be super king size bedrooms on request and one sitting room with a double sofa bed. On the ground floor is a large sociable split level dining room and well equipped kitchen and doors lead out to a garden and paved patio perfect for summertime entertaining. A separate sitting room has a cosy feel with sofas, a gas woodburner and Smart TV. This is a gorgeous luxury holiday home in a great location - you won’t be disappointed.
