Macknade is making the most of the next long weekend with a fun charity dog show on Monday May 5th in aid of Happy Endings Rescue - a local charity caring for animals who have been abandoned or neglected.
Attendees can enter their pooches in one of the following categories via the Macknade website:
• Waggiest Tail
• Junior Handler
• Mirror Image (Dog that looks most like its owner!)
• Golden Oldie (Dog over 8 years old!)
• Best Costume
Entries are just £2, with the option of to make an additional donation on the day, and all proceeds go to Happy Endings Rescue. There will be special prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each category, including tote bags and all-natural treats from Louis & Ada.
Spectators are welcome (and encouraged!) to come along and cheer on their favourite dogs, whilst enjoying everything else the Food Village has to offer.
There will be free kids activities to keep the little ones occupied, food from Macknade’s resident street food traders, and various doggy themed stalls, offering everything from toys & treats to free dental check-ups for your four-legged friends.
The event runs from 10am to 3pm, with the first category at 10.15am and the last category at 2.15pm.
