A live talk by Simon Postgate on the subject of the much-loved little railway engine, with images, anecdotes and clips from the programme.
Simon Postgate, the son of Oliver Postgate the co-creator of many children’s television classics such as Noggin the Nog, The Clangers, Ivor the Engine, The Pogles, The Pingwings and Bagpuss, will be joining us to deliver a short serios of talks about the making of these iconic children's programmes. Simon grew up at the time these programmes were being made. His talks are full of entertaining anecdotes, photos, drawings and film clips, bringing everything to life in a unique and personal way.
Ivor the Engine Simon was growing up at the time the first series of Ivor was made and was able to help with editing work on the later colour version.
