Noggin the Nog The Saga Noggin the Nog was one of the most distinct and atmospheric of the Smallfilms productions which had many children (including me) hiding behind the sofa peeping anxiously over the cushions, eager not to miss the drama as it unfolded.
Simon Postgate, the son of Oliver Postgate the co-creator of many children’s television classics such as Noggin the Nog, The Clangers, Ivor the Engine, The Pogles, The Pingwings and Bagpuss, is joining us to deliver a short series of talks about the making of these iconic children's programmes. Simon grew up at the time these programmes were being made. His talks are full of entertaining anecdotes, photos, drawings and film clips, bringing everything to life in a unique and personal way.
For those who were there and for some who weren’t, let’s have a look back at what went on. Talk includes images and film clips. This is one of a short series of talks as follows:- The Clangers: 12th Feb Ivor the Engine: 19th Feb The Pogles: 26th Feb Noggin the Nog: 5th March Bagpus: 12th March £5 Discount when booking all Smallfilms Talks.
