Come along to our workshop and create your own willow swallow in celebration of these amazing birds' arrival.
Swallows returning to our shores is one of the sure signs summer is on its way! Seeing my first swallow of the season is always one of my favourite moments of the year as I know I can look forward to months of watching their incredible aerial displays and hearing their screeching calls. Willow weaving is a very satisfying and mindful activity and you get to take home a beautiful swallow at the end of the day. Upon arrival at 11am, you will be able to partake in a hot drink and snack before we get settled down to the workshop. I will give you a brief introduction to willow and then we will get started on our creations. Hot drinks and snacks will be available throughout the session. Painters Forstal Community Hall is a lovely modern hall in a peaceful setting - a perfect place for weaving willow! The hall is fully accessible and has ample parking. I hope to see you there! Please note that willow contains salicylic acid and may cause an allergic reaction if you are allergic to aspirin.
