Playgrounds and Parks

Throughout Swale there are over 70 individual spaces that have a range of fields, pitches and play parks that are free for residents and visitors to enjoy with friends and family for rest and relaxation; unless there are matches being played, then enjoy some local sport!

The parks vary in character from formal gardens and traditional urban parks to less formal beautiful natural open spaces.

Many of the parks also have sport pitches and pavilions that can be hired from the Council for sports, tournaments and other events. The outdoor formal sports pitches and facilities are maintained by the Council unless a local club or organisations has entered into a formal agreement to do so.

Check out the Swale Borough Council website for more information on the sports pitches available and how to book.

If you know of an outdoor Space, playground or park you would like to promote to residents or visitors to be active then email Healthy and Active Swale and we can get the details uploaded.
