The Active Swale Network aims to bring partners together that have an interest in providing active and healthy activities for residents or visitors to the borough.

The Healthy and Active Swale Network was established in 2008 as part of the Sport England Community Sport & Physical Network (CSPAN) initiative.

The Network is facilitated by Swale Borough Council, within its remit to support Health, Sport & Physical Activity, and includes organisations from a wide range of back grounds that want to help residents and visitors become more active and improve their physical and mental health, including –

  • Health Promotion Team (NHS)
  • Housing Associations
  • Sports Clubs
  • Swale Borough Council
  • Leisure Centres
  • Community Groups
  • School Sport
  • Kent County Council
  • Community Trusts and Charities

The main objective of the Network is to raise awareness of the benefits of sports and physical activity and promoting the opportunities within Swale to help get more people active, email Healthy and Active Swale for more information or to join the network.

To share information and news related to sport and physical activity an E:newsletter is produced and sent out to members of the Active Swale network, its free to join and details are not shared. Just email Healthy and Active Swale and your name and email address will be added.
